LOOP provides lighting design services for a variety of interior project types including: Retail, Corporate, Hospitality, Residential Buildings and Private Art Collections. In addition to fixture specifications, we provide detailed lighting drawings, shop drawing reviews, site visits, as well as mock-ups and computer renderings, upon request.

• Custom Fixture Design: Collaboration with end users to design and oversee fabrication of unique lighting fixtures for site and brand applications.
• LED Integration: Consultation for manufacturers and industrial designers to assist with LED lighting engine specification and design integration in established and existing product lines. We provide technical guidance with LEDs to maximize illumination efficiency while enhancing fixture aesthetics.
• Strategic Product Development: Identification of new fixture typologies to fill and expand on manufacturer product lines. OPTIONAL ADDITION: As lighting designers, we sit between the fixtures and technology of the tools we use, and the design vision necessary to meet our client’s needs. This position provides us with a unique vantage point to see connections between the products we specify and the applications we need to have products to fulfill.


LOOP recently established an office in Kyoto, Japan. Led by partner Ryoko Nakamura, the practice is dedicated organic storytelling through light. Drawing on Ryoko’s extensive experience with restoration projects, LOOP Kyoko is also expanding from commercial to include public and institutional work, with a focus on community design.
