Kaori Hiroki
Senior Associate, Kyoto
Kaori began her lighting design career after discovering the wonders of light at Tama Art University and then pursuing her first job at Uchihara Creative Lighting Design. She got involved in more than 100 different projects, a wide range from large-scale to small, such as international airports, redevelopment projects, residential interiors, illumination Events, etc., for a decade.
She left the company to explore lighting design with a broader perspective. Her curiosity about the Scandinavian culture of light led her to Denmark and studied Visual Communication at Scandinavian Design College.
After she came back to Tokyo, then started to work independently as a freelancer under the name Lyshus in 2018. She is also a parttime lecturer of Lighting Design at Tama Art University since 2019.
